Windows TCP Performance Tuning Tips

A customer got me interested today in what options are available to tune a Windows workstation to maximize throughput in lower bandwidth connectivity, like an internet connection. The main tuneability that came up was TCP window size. It seems that Windows defaults to a very low TCP window size of 16KB. This should probably be raised to at least 128K to allow for better throughput. It shouldn't hurt anything either, since PC's talking will only raise the TCP window size to the max they can agree on.
